2.My friend had Mandrake9.2 and Windows 98.He had a 1GB ext2
partition in his hard disk.I put the first CD of RH9 and booted
it.Everything is fine.A message came up as "Warning" just before
the Disk Partitioning "The data on /dev/hda is not
initialised.Setting up will erase ALL DATA"-Yes/No.I thought it to
be the usual Boot Problem and said "Yes" to it.It took only 2
seconds(approx).Now to my shock everything is erased.the
rectangular box displaying the partions is empty and plain.the
windows98 does not boot and so is mandrake 9.2.The boot floppy of
Windows98 shows that the hard disk is new and need to create
partitions.I need to make backup of data .I think all the Boot
Record is erased.How to get it back?fdisk /mbr didn't work.Can
anyone say me a way out of it?I need to backup data.Mandrake 9.2
First CD also say that the hat is new(no partitions are
diaplayed).Please Very Urgent............
