Would be helpful to help you if you provide a little bit more details.
the boot loader that was shown during installation did not work.
Which boot loader was this ? What was the error message
my windows failed to boot.
Again, what was the message ? or what happened ?
i logged on to linux
Does this mean boot loader _is_ working
i have installed my windows in /dev/hdc1 and lilo.conf shows the
same.but still my windows fails to boot.
What windows ? Does that windows has its own bootloader (like the NT
one ) ? In that case you might have to use "chainloader +1". In case
that had a boot loader, where was it installed ?
the grub provided is the worst u can see.
Hope most won't agree with that.
pl. suggest me as how i should change my lilo.conf to get both
Would be better if you can paste the relevant section from lilo.conf in
windows : /dev/hdc1 (running fat32)
Are you able to mount the above partition ?
Anyway, you can get a better idea if you search the archives of this
list as this kind of questions are frequently asked.
