Both XFS & JFS have not been tested under production.
We have been using XFS extensively for our webservers, and we rather
like it. All patched Redhat 7.3 machines.
Thats good news for me! I have read somewhere that xfs offers best
performance for large number of small files. I have extensively used both
ext3 and reiserfs. I would like to try xfs.
linux 2.6 has xfs support. should i go to 2.6 series or apply patch for my
existing 2.4.18 series?? I have debian woody (2.4 kernel). 2.6 series has an
option for quota on xfs. does 2.4 kernels support xfs quotas with just a
patch without much tinkering?
