Ide drives are less fault-tolerant than SCSI
By the way, scsi drives are no more fault-tolerant than
ide drives. It's just for the extra price you get better
quality drives. Sun systems today are shipped with ide-drives
but these cost more than the local market ones - its
just that extra line of quality assuarance put on the
drive by the drive manufacturer - that Sun insists on.
I run Debian Woody on my Sun Sparc, not SunOS.
