First off, I used it about 2 years back, hacking up some shell scripts to
integrate into an user's /home directory, transparently. I neither am, nor

cool...

was, a Permanent Resident, of USA or Canada, and will not be, for the
foreseeable future, thanks to the insane laws out here. When I last used

it,

it was packaged inside Debian, though I had to rip the deb apart and
re-package it to my taste, and AFAIK, Debian/GPL allow it, and it was only
for personal use. :/

I'm not sure what else you imply with your question(s).

Well... I was reading the cfs page at research.att.com [1] and the
distribution requirement says that they don't have the source on anon ftp,
due to US export laws etc etc...

and the questions.... well..so i wonder how u persuaded them !!

Well.. not my company....as in my own..with same initials etc... But yes,
its the place I work at..

I didn't have to! I simply used "apt-get source cfs" ...
