I think RMS is quite right about people taking Free Software for
granted. But, I wouldn't place proprietary software as an impending
danger yet.
Maybe, that's one of the reasons I generally don't participate in Free
Software evangelism. After all, how many people do you come about in
everyday life telling you about your Fundamental Rights as outlined by
the constitution.
Or, more specifically, how many people _remember_ about their
Fundamental Rights outside their civics class ?
Also, it's quite depressing for people to call RMS as a zealot. A
zealot, as I understand, is someone who is stuck to some "ideals"
without understanding the depth (a religious group for example). Were
our freedom fighters zealots ? I think not.
But one thing is for sure - the foundation has put out some world
class software, and using anything less is just a shame.
