Vincent, To answer your original question, yes there are default text sizes. If you're in Allegro and create a new board (File->New), the text sizes found under Setup->Text Sizes will be the default size. At least this is how it works for me in 14.2. A quick search of the install tree does not reveal any file(s) that control the default sizes, so maybe they're hard-coded. To maintain some sembelance of order, I wrote a program that (among other things) sets the text sizes to the default every time we build a new symbol. Doug Douglas G. Keep in mind that changing text sizes here will probably affect every part on the board so caution must be used here. In concept you open Tools>Options select the Text tab. Here is where you define the text size for the Logic symbol. You set both the Text size and the pin number size. Things may be a little different in 15.2, I haven't explored that yet. Also I am not sure where the files are saved since I am a Librarian and do not normally change projects and setups. Is there a file somewhere deep, deep in the bowels of Allegro that has the Text Sizes and if so, what do I need to do make this file be our standard Text Size that comes up for all new designs? Also, does the Symbol Editor use a different Text Size file? Thanks in advance for your help.
