Hello Dave,

I have NET_SPACING_TYPE defined in Schematic (Concept). PAckaged to Allegro 15.7...highlight Net by property NET_SPACING_TYPE...works great as always.

In 16.3 Free Viewer, I can see Same net spacing constraint with numerical values such as 20mil, 100mil which are physical spacings set in assignment table between two net spacing groups.

This is what I got from Cadence.
Now from 16.x version using Constraint Manager only, we can do the selection of netclass group. As with Allegro_Free_Viewer, we don’t have the flexibility to see the constraints (CM), you might not be able to highlight/select the nets based on their Netclass group.

Not looking good to have techs use free viewer 16.3 to hilite spacing groups for safety review.......

Highlight > Nets (checked in find filter) > Find by Name = Property > More…

 

Will bring up all net properties in the database.

 

Scroll to the property with the value one is looking for.

Last week Dave Seymour replied that the 16.3 Free Viewer supports setting grids (Setup > Design Parameters > Display > Grids).

 

Sorry I can’t help you with the highlight NET_SPACING_GROUPS issue, I haven’t used the Free Viewer much (just the DEs for review).

Sorry Gary, was on vacation last week.
I do not have a grid script set for the viewer. Therefore have not experienced a crash.

Is there anyone out there that uses the viewer to highlight NET_SPACING_GROUPS?
I see in 16.3, they are no longer a net property...only a member of a group which I can not find in the filter to highlight.
