I have created a case. Although Allegro uses ~700 Mb of RAM (I am looking at Task Manager), there should be lots left for Outlook (24 Mb) , IE (~46 Mb). System load shows 50%. I know it should take about 3 to 3.5 hours; what I wanted to know if anyone on this list has encountered the same thing and has a resolution for it. I've found running other memory hog applications (Autocad for example) simulataneously results in hanging or crashing, and agree you should exit other applications when running DRCs or Dynamic Pours on a design that size. Would be interesting to hear a response from Cadence.
