[PCB_FORUM] Fanout not working

I am using Allegro Studio 15.7 and just had to load the May 8th ISR in
order for my design to compile the netlist.

Before loading the ISR, I was getting an error in the netlist compiler
when (or immediately after) it reads the library.

After installing the new ISR - no errors - compiler works fine - except I
can't get fanout to work. It has been some months since I used Allegro,
but I recall the fanout function working before (same tool except for ISR
and same design except was first version).

I am plowing through the setups and following the Supportnet self-help
instructions with no success. I explored the autorouter and found a
message that my 12 layer design exceeds the licensed layer count. I have
never used the autorouter and it seems strange that this would be the
culprit. I tried de-selecting all but the 2 outer layers in the
autorouter but I get the same exceeds licensed layer count message. I
expect this is some ignorance on my part.

Although I can manually route and drop vias in the BGA's, I would like the
tool to auto-fanout for the sake of saving time.

Any help is appreciated! BTW - I submitted an SR to Cadence Support
also.
