OK, I haven't tried this, but if you can find it, there's no reason why it
shouldn't work.

I have, on occasion, found the need to modify Allegro's default popups. For
example, the Artwork Control Form leaves a little bit to be desired. I found
the form definition file in the Cadence tree and modified the file to change
the size of the artwork window (see attachments).

A cursory search did not find the form that has the three tabs, but I'm
thinking it is a form since it behaves just like one when it's detached.
However, it might be embedded in the software and not accesible to us. If
you can find it, there's no reason why you couldn't rewrite it to be larger
and tabless. This is especially easy to do if you are familiar with creating
forms in Skill.

An all tabs visible option sounds great! Very useful for those with a
second monitor available. -Chris

Dear Cadence,

There are some of us fortunate enough to have a dual screen setup at our
workplace, enabling nifty things such as dragging our desktop across
multiple screens, or looking at schematics/pdf's while doing layout. This
is Really Cool and Boosts Productivity (IMHO). Plus, co-workers go "ooh"
and "ahhh" when they see it for the first time. This is of course, an
extra bonus.

The Allegro Control Panel could become Even More Useful if we could not
only tear it off and place it in the other screen, but also make All Tabs
Visible At the Same Time. (Presently, when stretched, the tab labels get
wider and that's about it; contents of each tab are still only viewable
when corresponding tab is clicked).

See attached suggestion.

Thanks

p.s. - please excuse the futile attempts at smug humor. It's Friday, and
frankly I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately.
