[PCB_FORUM] Re: Concept HDL - 15.1: Global turn off of discrete pin numbers?

Ok, after further investigation...this property ($pn=#) was added to our library about a year ago. This was to keep pin numbers from automatically re-appearing after back annotation.
So this explains why it only finds SOME "newer" discretes. Attributing the symbol pin will display this property.

So, next is to try to "REPLACE" or "REFRESH".
When I do Component=>Replace...then select a discrete from the element capacitor or resistor library, then click the part needing replaced, it loses the reference designator. Shouldn't it keep it, even after version command?
This will be very difficult to do to ALL "older" discretes.

And finally, when I try to turn the pin #'s on, how do I get the pin#'s to show instead of the "#" sign?
If I display value group...it displays #, Which is the value in this case.
I tried also display visible group...but does not work.

Any feedback would be appreciated?
Right Tom?
Thanks,
Mark

This would be great if it worked!
In Concept 14.2, when I do a find $pn (or pn), it hilites ALL pin #'s in my schematic, including IC's etc...
If I do a fin $pn=# it hilites some, but not all discretes.
Then if I display value group, it puts a # where pin numbers should be on some of the discretes.
What am I missing?

Thanks,
Mark

find $pn (or pn)
display invisible (group x)
Type this in hte console window.
This works for almost anything that as a property.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Concept HDL - 15.1: Global turn off of discrete pin numbers?

   1. Does anyone know a way to turn off the pin numbers of discrete
pin numbers in a Concept HDL schematic?
   2. How do you export a "text searchable" pdf file of the schematic
      in Concept HDL?

Thanks in advance.
