Carl,

The abstracts / panel members are not accessible at this point
via the web schedule. We are working on getting the information up
on the web site to assist in your decisions.

As far as the tech panel names not having Allegro in the title does
not mean it is something not worth attending.
Basically, the PCB Design Tech panel covers Allegro PCB Editor,
Design Entry, Router and SI including CM. The other tech panel
labeled IC/Package Co-Design will cover Allegro Package Designer,
SI and AMS Simulator.

Mike

Has anyone figured out how you can even see what the abstracts are some of
the titles there mean absolutely nothing to me I would like to see all the
information available before making any decisions. Especially on the
roadmaps and tech panels where the word Allegro is completely missing from
the titles!

You should also know that the 4 of us, Charlie, Andy, Carl, myself all
volunteered to work on the new CDNLive steering committee, but our offer
was turned down by the Cadence CDNLive management team.

I'd also like to add to that the former cadence champions Ed Hickey, Steve
Durrill, and Dennis Rockwood were not involved in the organization of this
years CDN live, and I should probably just stop right here with that said.

Hi George,

I have to stick up for the "former" ICU PCB SIG members (Charlie Davies,
Randy Bye, Carl Musetti and myself).

We have not been involved with the organization of CDNLive and this years
PCB content. In addition, we are not members of the new Steering Committee
that organizes this event.

Regards
Andy

PS: In case some people on this forum are interested in seeing some pretty
cool PDM/PLM stuff just stop by at the Vendor Fair/ Exhibits...

(Ed, thanks for the good wishes.)

I have just finished looking over the schedule for the upcoming CDNLive!
conference.
Am I the only one disappointed in the new "look and feel" of this event?
There are maybe 10 hours of things that are of use to PCB designers, 14 if
I hang on until Thursday afternoon. This is compared to ~60 hours at the
last conference.

This is just what I hoped wasn't going to happen, but I guess I should have
known better. It's what I have come to expect from Cadence and their total
lack of interest in anything other than IC design. And thanks HAVE to go
out to whoever championed this scheme to the PCB SIG officers. The results
show how much thought and time went into it, they are to be commended.

I am supposed to convince my manager to pay for me to send me to this farce
and keep me down there for 4 days so I can attend 14 hours of sessions.
