Hi Ali!

I am not sure why your allegro does what you say, because mine loads rules automatically by the same procedure.

When you start router at least 3 files will be generated:
board.dsn - router boardfile
board_rules.do   -  set all rules
board_forget.do -  remove all rules

So after you get into router and board is loaded,
go to  File - Execute Do file    and point it to your
board_rules.do
That will read your rules (regions) in manually.

In general router requires patience, reading documentation and trying.
Because open, press play and get decent results never happens by itself.
(Not saying that this is your case but i also read a lot of criticism on router and plug and pray...
it did the work for me but i needed to tell him what i want.)
Some great documents on router are on CDN also.

( hope my reply doesn't sound too harsh, because English is my second
language and am not so perfect with setting correct tone...)

best regards,
Matija Golar

Hi Group,

After putting so much time, I am still not able to rectify the issue. In Allegro, when I click on Route->PCB Route->Route Editor. It launches Auto Router with below warning.

"Design Rules: No rules found in design file. Please read rules from dofile."

Due to above warning, Auto Router does not identify any constraint region which is defined in Allegro board file.
Having this issue, I am so fed up and tried many things like deleting all constraint regions and defining again but still Auto Router started with same warning. Much appreciate if any body could shed some light on this issue.
