Ted: No, the word processor does not strip the line feeds out of text files. Your problem is that The Linux convention is to use a line feed instead of a carriage return, where the Braille 'n Speak prefers a carriage return. So if you are going to read files you edit on the Braille+ on the Braille 'n Speak, you need a program to convert the line feeds to carriage returns. One way to do it is to simply load the files into WordPad on the PC, and hit Ctrl+S to save them. This will convert line endings to the standard carriage return/line feed pair that Windows uses, and will work on the Braille 'n Speak. Rob >>> tfilteau@xxxxxxxxxxx 04/09/08 04:51PM >>> Hi, I'm still playing with Braille 'n speak files and find that the word processor seems to strip line feeds out of files. Am I right about this, and is there a way around this behavior. If I send a file from the Braille Plus to the bns, its line feed line endings show up in the file. Is there a word processor option I'm missing? Any ideas appreciated. I really don't want to have to retype all this stuff, and I can't believe someone hasn't dealt with this in the past. Thanks.
