Richard,Getting the files to the braille plus is pretty straight forward, I use hyperterminal to send them to the pc and then put the braille plus in disk drive mode to copy them over.
For some reason, CR-LF doesn't do it either. I tried wordpad as suggested here earlier. At 11:54 PM 4/10/2008, you wrote:
Ted,Try changing the carriage returns to carriage return followed by line feed before porting them over. It sounds like sending them with only line feed line endings isn't doing the job for some reason. By the way, how are you getting the files from the BNS to your Braille Plus? I got tied up doing other stuff today so haven't moved any of my files over yet. I'll give it a try over the weekend.Richard Ehrler----- Original Message ----- From: Ted Filteau <tfilteau@xxxxxxxxxxx To: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date sent: Thu, 10 Apr 2008 17:38:51 -0400 Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: word processor behaviorRichard and list,The line endings are indeed the problem with moving files thatare usefulto the icon-braille plus, but changing ascii 13 to ascii 10 doesnot seemto solve the problem, and I'm not sure why as of yet.At 04:22 PM 4/10/2008, you wrote:Hey Ted, Why not use the find and replace on your BNS to make all thedesiredchanges to the files before porting them over to the BraillePlus? Nowthat I have seen some answers about my line termination question, that ishow I plan to port all my old BNS text over. If you are a longtime BNSuser, you probably already know the various commands to do thefind andreplace of any kind of character or string, so will not clog thislistwith this kind of info. If you or anyone else needs a quick anddirtyshort list of commands to do this on the BNS or other Blazie notetakers, contact me off list and I can tell you how.
