Owning an Icon since 2006, I had to send my unit in for repair only once. I
had quick turn around. There was a time when Levelstar and APH had an
extremely difficult time obtaining parts for the machines. At that time,
they admittedly had a very difficult time turning machines around in time.

Lou,
I have seen and heard a lot of people who have had lots of problems with
Icon and Braille Plus. I have to admit that I have been extreemly luck to
have had mine for quite awhile and it still works well. Yes, I have had the
occasional lockup problem, had to replace the battery once, and started out
with a problem with the keyboard that Fred was able to fix.
I sincerely hope that Orion will be a much better product, but I guess I
will reserve any further comment until I see it, get a chance to try it out,
and see that it is deserving of a better rating than what could be given to
the Icon and Braille Plus.
