My question for you is are the messaes still on the server? if not, you
need to set outlook to not delete messages from the server.

Subject: [icon-discuss] email quirk?

Hi list,
I have set up my Braille+ to receive my email from my gmail account. For
some strange reason, when I attempt to get new messages while Microsoft
outlook is still open and running on my computer, the icon will not see any
new messages. When ms outlook is closed, the icon can retrieve messages via
any wireless connection just fine. However, when I does receive messages, it
does not download everything that is sitting in my gmail account, just the
messages that have not been viewed by my ms outlook since the last time I
used it. Its very strange. I don't know how else to explain it. If its
unclear let me know, because I would love to get to the bottom of this
mystery!
Thanks all,
Julie

Subject: [icon-discuss] Comment and a possible problem with e-mail

Greetings,
First the comment. Perhaps those who give instructions on reflashing and
such, could use words for the star and Pound, or number sign keys? Most
blind people I know, don't have lots of punctuation turned on when listening
in general and so when the line, hold down the * key... is written, It
sounds like, hold down the key...
Please write "hold down the star key." That way we don't have to stop and
get the cursor on the character to hear it.

Now, for the possible problem. I was out of town at a meeting and used the
Braille plus to get my e-mail so I wouldn't have a huge amount of e-mail
when I got home. So, I set the e-mail option "leave messages on server?" to
"No."

When I checked e-mail, I had over 600 messages dating back to the last time
I was home and had down loaded my e-mail on my computer. So, for some
reason, the Braille plus did not delete the messages from the server.

Richard
