it shows up as a USB disk in the File Explorer. I think that's what you wanted to know.

There is a compact flash card reader that plugs to a usb connector. I haveone, and use it to transfer audio files to another device called a book port. But it would be interesting to know if the braille plus would treat said compact flash card as just another disc, since you're not trying to connect it directly to the unit, but to the reader itself.
