I don't know of any other way we could have done it, other than the way
we're doing it. You download the software, which gives you the player. In
doing so, you register with us and with NLS. Part of it is that NLS didn't
have us added to their list until yesterday or today, so we couldn't help
that. I think a day or less, isn't all that bad. When we were Beta
testing, it was a onetime signup and we had to wait a week or so--at least
you don't have to wait that long.
I think Marc gave them the goahead on Monday, but it took them a day or so
to do it on their end (I;'m surprised at how quick that was).
We can't assume that you're registered with NLS and just give you a key, so
there has to be some system.
As far as Audible, the software is ready, but we haven't released it because
we're waiting for them to approve our software. Therefore, we decided to
hold out the code. If they had left the code in, someone would have
complained because it was there, but didn't work.
Anytime you are developing something, there are always bumps in the road, no
matter how you try to avoid them--some things just can't be helped. We
can't make them hurry up and do the approval, even though they promised to
have had it done but didn't do it.
They were have supposed to have done it a few weeks ago, thus, we thought it
would be ready. In our defense, we didn't say it was ready.
When knew things come out, there's always anxiety.

Hi all.
Perhaps I am missing some important bits of information, but when I updated,
I was given to understand that the keys were obtained when we registered the
device, either Braille+ or Icon. Please forgive me for being irritated, but
this was something in which we were a bit mislead. Another issue I've found
is the Audible support. When I spoke to Michael this morning, he informed
me that their was, as of yet, no Audible support. Why weren't we notified
of this fact before the release. Also, why weren't we notified of the fact
that we would have to wait an additional amount of time for these keys for
NLS support. Over all, Levelstar and APH have done an outstanding job with
these devices, rivaled by none, but please, please, unless something is
definite, would you refrain from mentioning it, or mention it in such a way
that is not misleading to your consumers.

approval from nls this morning. I got it a couple of hours ago.
