Hi Anicio, Make sure that your Refreshabraille18 is plugged in via USB and turned on. It also can not be connected to your screen reader. If it is showing Braille from your computer, it can not be updated. You must disconnect from the screen reader before starting the updater. In JAWS, press modifier+j to go to the JAWS window, go to the menu, open the basics menu, and choose Braille. When that opens, choose no display and press enter, you may need to restart JAWS. When the R18 is on, connected, but not showing Braille from the computer it is ready to go. At that point you should be able to start the updater. Hello Chase,The Refreshabraille is connected to my laptop via the USB and it is on. The only braille on the display is the one from the main menu, including APH and the cereal number. However, when I run the updater software, I continue to get the error indicating that it cannot find my device.
Thanks in advance for any other advice you may be able to provide. I really appreciate all your demos with this great device.
