I've seen this behavior before. I forwarded your message with the exact

I am currently reading an nls book called Joshua in a troubled World

Joseph F. Girzone. I got to Chapter 10 and the braille plus skipped

to chapter 11.
I don't believe that this is a problem with the book because I put it

vr stream, and it worked as it should.
Very strange indeed.
