Hi, Rick, I think your problem is that you are getting into the Bluetooth manager to pair the Refreshabraille. What you need to do is to hold down program 1. Here are the steps you should follow. 1. Make sure bluetooth is turned off. 2. Hold down program one until you get to the Braille display manager. 3. Press select on bluetooth. 4. When it asks you to make sure your device is on, press okay. 5. Now, when the list of bluetooth devices shows up, you need to choose your Refreshabraille18's name. For example, mine is Refreshabraille Chase Crispin. 6. In the next list, choose APH Refreshabraille. 7. At this point, you will be asked for the pairing code. Type in 1234 and press OK. The display should now be paired. The display is working on my computer using JAWS 10. When I press the program 1 key to initiate the bleutooth search, all seems to go well and the Braille+ finds the display. At no time am I prompted for a pairing code. I get a message that the device is connecting to the display and a final message that the attempt to connect has failed. On the Braille+ I'm using software version 2.1, Linox release 2.6.31, board id 2. Is there some sort of incompatibility issue with this software version? I have never had problems like this pairing other devices. In fact, I paired a set of headphones with a BrailleSense earlier yesterday. On an unrelated note, I've experienced considerable problems setting up the USB network and was advised on the ICON list by Pam Rader That there appears to be a problem with the supplied driver for setting up the USB network. However, the APH link she provided to get an updated driver does not work. She has acknowledged that http://tech.aph.org/usb/braille+icon.inf is not working and hopefully will be getting back with a workaround. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated.
