And, if you doubt that this is an Icon issue, my Braille note Mpower can see
and copy files from my network just fine!

When I use the browse function, I see first, my workgroup name, and if I
press right arrow, I see the name of one of the three machines that are on
our network.  When I attempt to connect to this computer, I receive an error
message that mentions mounting, NetBIOS, and many many numbers. If, on the
other hand, I attempt to add network folders manually, I receive an entirely
different error.  This error says that connection has timed out (and gives
an imp address) and it then says that a process already in progress and the
number 19,192. I've given up.  This feature is just not happening.
