I think consumers should have a choice of braille displays...

I totally agree with David, and it would take much less development time
for Levelstar as well.

etc. should be thru bluetooth, and/or USB and not connected to the unit or a
display made spacifically for the Icon. There are plenty of excellent very
portable, small displays and printers, etc. to choose from without bulking
up the size of the Icon itself, adding cost to the Icon itself to purchase
it, and creating even more headaches with repairs, service agreements, and
so forth.

Braille Plus, and all it would take is the Braille table and a Linux
bluetooth driver for the Braillino. At that point I would be set, and it
requires no hardware changes in the Braille Plus or Icon to make something
like that to happen. All it takes is a driver and the appropriate Braille
table or tables. Another nice one would be the Braille Connect 12 cell
display that is the size of a pack of cigarettes. Again, bluetooth support
is all you need, and you could add the display whenever you decided that you
could afford to buy it without having to buy it at the same time you
purchased the Icon or Braille Plus.
