I've found that it always speaks punctuation when there is repetition, no matter what the spoken punctuation level. I don't know if it is supposed to do that or not.

Hi,I have my unit set to no punctuation. It still speaks the underscore character when it appears in email messages. This is particularly anoying when there is an entire line of underscore characters. I have found no way to customize the no punctuation option to stop the speaking of underscore. Has anybody figured out something that I haven't?Thanks, Robert Carter ?- Original Message ?- From: "Jenny Axler" <jaxler@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 2008/09/24 13:51:10 Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: Controling punctuation that is spokenThe Star probably read regardless, because it was in such an unusual place, it probably thought you needed to know regardless, I'm not really sure about that one. However, i can tell you, that if you need a punctuation mark back in a certain level, you simply go back to the edit box for that punctuationlevel and type it back in. I wonder, however, after customizing punctuation, dothe deleted items come back if the unit is restarted? I was trying to readabook I had scanned and for reasons unknown there was a* at the beginning ofeach word. This was true even with punctuation turned off. I customized the punctuation and deleted my friendly* with no change. i solved the problem byrescanning the info but I am curious how I would restore the defaults if Ihad deleted some punctuation that for some reason I later needed?
