No, not really.  There's no extra navigating ability or anything.  And, i 
personally think it's simpler just to open it from File Explorer.

    You can open them from the bookshelf or the Word Processor.  If you want to 
use the bookshelf, place them in the Library/Books folder as you do other file 
types.  If you just want to read it in the Word Processor, you can open it from 
File explorer, and it will automatically launch.
