HI Tristen,

When you connect the Icon to your computer and check the battery status before 
going into disk mode, does it say it's charging? That would be another way 
to determine whether a connection is being made. If it isn't charging, that's a 
good indication that one of the cables isn't working properly. YOu could try 
connecting to a wall outlet, and if that doesn't work, you know your Icon cable 
isn't working.

Even if the Icon is being charged, it's possible that a cable is failing. You 
could try connecting other devices to the computer using your USB cable to try 
to narrow the problem down so you know which cable might be the problem. Trying 
a different port might also help.
