Hello:
I may be wrong about this, but if so, I know that someone will correct me. I
don't believe that you can import an audio book that consists of multiple
MP3 files to the bookshelf.
This is because the Bookshelf application will have no way to know that a
set of MP3 files are in fact a book. The Bookshelf recognizes specific file
types as "books".
However, there is another way to play this book.
The information presented here assumes that you are running the latest
version of the software.
Since I don't know whether you have a Braille Plus or an Icon, I won't give
specific keystrokes.
1. Open file explorer.
2. Choose your hard drive.
3. Bring up the options menu, and choose number 6 to create a folder.
4. For identification purposes, name the new folder the title of the book.
So, if your book was called "Gone with the Wind" you would call the folder
"Gone With the Wind".
5. Now you need to use File Explorer to copy all of the MP3 files that make
up your audio book to your new folder.
Since I don't know where you are currently storing these files, I cannot
outline exactly how you would do this, but it is a fairly painless process.
Find your MP3 files and mark all of them by pressing the pound key on the
telephone keypad. Your device will make a sound and verbally indicate that
the file has been selected.
Now, use File Explorer to open the folder you've created with your book's
title as its name.
Now, go the the File Explorer's options menu. You can choose either number
2 "copy selected here" or number 3 "move selected here".
Close File Explorer and open the music player.
Down arrow to number 6 which is "files". This allows you to see the files
and folders on your hard drive. When you do this, you will be pointing at
your music folder. Press left arrow, and then use the up and down arrows to
find the folder that bares your audio book's name.
Bring up the options menu, and down arrow to item 13 "add all files in this
folder to a play list".
Type in a name for the play list, I'd give it the same name as the book
title.
Now, when you want to play the audio book, open the music player and down
arrow to number 5 which is play list. Choose the play list that bares your
audio books name, and press select. The book should play in its proper
order, depending on the file names, of course.
You should also be able to use the music player's "resume" feature to play
the book from wherever you left off the last time you were listening.
