Actually, it's slightly different for software than it is for hardware.  in 
the case of software, it is for upgrades with no charge.

I won't address the pricing of the upgrade.  I have yet to hear an official
price.  I believe Jenny had mentioned that she thought it would be $250 and
not that the price was set at $250.  As to the Software and Hardware
maintenance agreement, the key word there is "maintenance."  Upgrades do not
count.  Only if your unit needs some maintenance, you're eligible to have it
repaired.

I do have one further question on this topic. When my unit was purchased
July 3, 2007,I was informed that I had the equivalent of a software/hardware

maintenance agreement for one year as I am sure everyone was informed the
same. If that is so, why is any price being charged for this upgrade if in
fact we are under a software/hardware maintenance agreement and our year has

not expired?
