Well, where's the lag? I understand the stations, but that's it. What braille shortcuts? 

I mean we got 1.1 at same time and everything, so I don't know.

you're right, 10 gb is not that big a deal. that wasn't the 
reason i posed
the question. in fact i said i didn't think i would need it. 
but simply
wanted to know as the braille user to this side of the unit why 
there was
such a lag with the exception of the upgrade to the units since 
they have

both been out.
and tha't not an unfair question!

dunno, although I thought that the brailleplus was created by

No, i didn't have to buy the braille plus.  that's neither here

nor there as

it begs the question.  the product has been thought of as a

blindness related

product.  reglardless of when the braille plus was developed,

they're still

the same units.  for your information, i got the braille plus

because i read

and write braille, and am very proud and glad i know it.
so, i simply wanted to know why there was such a lag time for

those of us

who love to use braille.

I think they're doing an excellent job considering they're, what,

a year

apart? Also, you didn't have to get the braille plus.  and 10

gigs makes no

difference at all to me--if the upgrade is available for the

brailleplus

Yes, new Icons currently have 40 GB hard drives.  And yes, you

can

upgrade

your unit.  If you choose to do this, you'll send your unit in,

they

will place a 40 GB drive in your unit, and will send you your 30

GB

drive back in a USB enclosure which can then be used as an

external

drive, and can

be

powered with Icon.



Please note: right now, this only applies to Icons.  As far as I
know, Braille + units still have 30 GB drives.
