Dear ICEVI-Europe Members & Non-Members,
It's that time of year again! Once in every four years a highly
respected European Conference in the field of people with visual
impairments is organized by the International Council for Education and
Rehabilitation of People with Visual Impairment, Europe Region
(ICEVI-Europe), in cooperation with a host committee and local partners.
The last European Conference of ICEVI-Europe took place in Bruges,
Belgium in 2017 with the participation of hundreds of distinguished
professionals working in the field of VI across Europe.
ICEVI-Europe in cooperation with The Aleh Society and the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem are proud to announce our milestone tenth
European Conference in 2021. The 10th ICEVI-Europe Conference will be
held from August 8 to August 12, 2021 (with Optional Days for Excursions
on 13 and 14 August) at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Jerusalem,
Israel. We are looking forward to seeing many familiar colleagues and
we are also hoping to see many new colleagues at our upcoming
conference. Join us to actively take part in the exchange of knowledge
and expertise and sharing of best practices within a network of people
and institutions promoting the social inclusion of people with visual
impairment, as we explore this year's theme: "Access to Learning and
Learning to Access."
We would like to invite you to mark your calendars today and look
forward to welcome you in
Jerusalem in August 2021.
Please view the Save the Date Announcement that is accessible to the
visually impaired attached herein, which we kindly ask you to place in
your organization's website, newsletter publication and/or social media
platform(s), as well as, share with your fellow colleagues, partners and
contacts in the field of visual impairment interested in its content.
It would be greatly appreciated if you draw your attention to this
conference in your country and disseminate this information to
interested stakeholders and parties, including but not limited to:
professionals, educational staff and academics with a specialization in
inclusion or special education, representatives of associations and
organizations in the field of visual impairment, inclusion and care,
parents of students of elementary, secondary, higher
and vocational education from Europe and other continents,
non-governmental organizations, manufacturers and distributors of
technologies and equipment for visually challenged people, National
Agencies and Government Officials who might be interested in its
content.
Further information about the conference will be available in due time
on the website of ICEVI-Europe at www.icevi-europe.org [1] and on the
conference website, which will launch approximately one year before the
conference.
