Dear ICEVI members, friends and colleagues
The ICEVI Day Programme Committee is pleased to announce that the due
date for ICEVI Day abstracts has been extended to 30th September 2015.
Please note that the email address for submissions as oficevi@xxxxxxxxx,
as shown in the attached Second Call for Papers and Official Abstract
Form.
The ICEVI Day forms an essential part of the WBU-ICEVI General
Assemblies that will be jointly held at the Rosen Centre Hotel in
Orlando, Florida, USA, from 18th to 25th August 2016. The overall theme
for the General Assemblies is "Human rights and the CRPD: What lies
ahead".
The Schedule for the WBU-ICEVI General Assemblies is as follows:
- Thursday, August 18 - Meetings of the WBU Executive meeting and
other WBU Assembly Committees
- Friday, August 19 to Monday, August 22 - WBU Assembly proceedings
- Monday, August 22 - ICEVI Opening Ceremony, ICEVI Paper
Presentations
- Tuesday, August 23 - Joint WBU-ICEVI concurrent sessions
-Wednesday, August 24 - Joint WBU-ICEVI concurrent sessions, ICEVI
Regional Committee meetings, WBU/ICEVI Closing Ceremony and Gala Dinner
- Thursday, August 25 - ICEVI General Assembly and Executive Committee
meeting
The ICEVI Day on Monday 22nd August 2016 will be dedicated to
conference-style papers and workshops. The ICEVI Day Programme Committee
invites you to respond to this Second Call for Papers by submitting an
Abstract for consideration, no later than September 30th 2015. The
theme of the ICEVI Day is "Education for All Children with Visual
Impairment: Beyond 2015". The programme for the ICEVI Day program will
include dedicated time for parent and family presentations and
workshops. The ICEVI Day Call for Papers (see attachment) includes
guidelines for abstract submission, types of presentations accepted, and
a list of potential presentation topics relating to education for
children and youth with visual impairment.
We would greatly appreciate your help with distributing this Call for
Papers to your colleagues who may be interested in submitting an
abstract for the ICEVI Day and attending the joint Assemblies.
Key Dates:
Deadline for abstract submission - extended to 30th September 2015
Programme Committee feedback to authors: 31st January 2016
