Dear AMI experts,

I have a question related to the "steps" in the AMI specification.
Is there a convention as to the precision of the value? For example,
with <min>=0.0 <max>=1.0 and <steps>=6, what should <delta> be?

0.167
0.1666667
0.1666666666667

Or in different words, should it have about 8 digits of precision,
because this is enough to define the significant of a 32-bit floating
point value, or should it be 16 decimal digits, enough to define that
of a 64-bit float?

How precisely is the .dll going to compare the value it gets to a
legal value, typ + N*<delta>?

Thanks,

Arpad
