I should note that Q2 applies to SerDes as well, in terms of not having a clear
definition in the specification of how sampling should be handled in
statistical (Init-based) simulation.
However, I'm not sure how one can "keep the center of Rx AMI_GetWave output
waveform at 0V" without AMI_GetWave. Am I missing something?

where the center of the waveform at the slicer is?
One way to address Q2 is 1) keep the center of Rx AMI_GetWave output waveform
at 0V (as in SerDes), and 2) make DC_Offset Usage InOut so that Rx AMI_Init can
return the center of the waveform at the slicer to EDA tool.

As you may recall, the vote for BIRD197.2 was postponed in the last IBIS Open
Forum meeting with the request to the IBIS-ATM Task Group to fix the
typographical errors which were discovered in it.
The attached file is a new draft for BIRD197.3 in which we corrected these
problems.
I would like to ask everyone to review this document for the next IBIS-ATM
meeting, and if we don't find any other problems, we will submit it to the Open
Forum following that meeting.
