All, Update wording is now: The EDA Tool/Simulator shall use the value of these Jitter and Noise parameters directly if they are Usage Info. If they are Usage Out, then the EDA Tool/Simulator shall use their values generated by AMI_Init. The models AMI_GetWave function may return different values for these parameters than the values returned by AMI_Init; the EDA Tool/Simulator may report the values of such parameters to the user, but the EDA Tool/Simulator may not change any inputs to AMI models or change other result of the simulation based on the values returned by the parameters in this BIRD by AMI_GetWave. Are any of these parameters used to "modulate" the bit pattern, or influence any other input that is passed into the AMI model by the tool? In case the answer is yes, I would suggest to reword the last part of your new text: "but the EDA Tool/Simulator may not change any other result of the simulation" This refers to modifying "results", but does not prohibit modification of inputs, which should also be included in this statement. I know changing the inputs might indirectly also modify the results, but I don't like to leave this vague like that. Also, for the sake of consistency and completeness, I wonder if this sentence should also mention past, present or future results, as was Suggested by Scott for the InOut/Out BIRD draft.
