Done: Chapters 12-13 of the Verilog-AMS LRM v2.2 describe the Verilog Procedural interface (VPI), which the equivalent of an API. http://www.eda.org/verilog-ams/htmlpages/public-docs/lrm/2.2/AMS-LRM-2-2.pdf "The VPI interface provides routines which allow Verilog-AMS product users to access information contained in a Verilog-AMS design and allow facilities to interact dynamically with a software product. Applications of the VPI interface can include delay calculators and annotators, connecting a Verilog-AMS simulator with other simulation and CAE systems, and customized debugging tasks. The functions of the VPI interface can be grouped into two main areas: * Dynamic software product interaction using VPI callbacks * Access to Verilog-AMS HDL objects and simulation specific objects" - ??? 2) Continue our discussion on what changes (if any) the IBIS specification needs in order to support the API idea for high speed SERDES simulations. However, before we get ourselves into any serious IBIS specification change requests, I would like to revisit the whole idea of NEEDING an API or not in the light of having one already in the Verilog-AMS specification, and having another one in the balloting process for VHDL-AMS. It would be highly beneficial if people coming to the meeting could at least glance at one or the other API description so we could have a more meaningful discussion.
