Review of Meeting Minutes:
Arpad asked for any comments or corrections to the minutes of the May 15
meeting. Radek moved to approve the minutes. Bob seconded the motion. There
were no objections.

New Discussion:
- Discussion: Allow Terminator as a Model_type for IBIS-AMI receivers
Arpad noted Curtis sent in email a comment that he preferred the first option
for handling terminators that were in Michael's slides shown last week. Bob
mentioned that he'd like to see a BIRD proposal to discuss. Radek noted he
supported the same option as Curtis, the simplest option.
Arpad wanted to look at whether the Terminator parameters could be split to
the proper reference nodes. The bottom end of the Terminator is connected to
the ground symbol in the schematic. This may cause complications with power
aware simulations. If this is strictly for AMI purposes, then it would
probably be ok to have the Node 0 ground reference. But, this could cause
problems if people try to include power aware effects in the channel
characterization for IBIS-AMI simulation. Bob noted the existing Terminator
fits with IBIS-AMI in the way people are simulating now. Radek did not see a
problem either, since option 1 is exclusively for AMI.
Bob noted we are breaking a paradigm by including thresholds in a Terminator,
but it works for AMI. Terminator could be expanded further to support more
complicated modeling for AMI.
Arpad's thoughts on the 2nd or 3rd options in Michael's presentation is that
one would need to split the Rac and Cac elements to go to the POWER Clamp
Reference and GND Clamp Reference terminals. This is seen in Figure 11 of the
IBIS 6.1 specification. The C_comp in that figure has alrady been dealt with
for splitting to multiple references. Arpad noted the proposal was made due
to the simplicity of using existing model types for AMI. BIRD158 modeling
uses Node 0 references, so the Terminator is compatible with that. Arpad was
wondering if this could cause issues with including power delivery effects,
with the Node 0 connection.
Bob noted the RC construct is fixed in Terminator, so this limits the model's
usefulness. Arpad noted option 1 is the easiest solution as long as everyone
agrees that the Node 0 in the Terminator model is not a problem.

thought we should keep it on the list. Michael had some questions last week
on lab correlation that could be discussed further.
