Hi Arpad,

I have already suggested to either move the statement on the "triangles" to
after the third figure, or repeat it after the second and third figures.

Regarding "to", either sounds good to me.

Regarding "infinite Ohms", we should rather say "infinite resistance", or
preferably "an open circuit"

Radek

Bob and Everyone,

Since this uploaded draft is the same as Bob's BIRD_158.6_draft8_v5.docx, I am
responding
with my comments to this posting instead of Bob's earlier email that was sent
only to a few
of us.

Regarding:  "Note: All triangle ground symbols are connected together.  These
may or may not be Node 0.",
the problem is that it is not clear whether this applies to the TWO triangle
symbols in the Tx
analog circuit, or to ALL triangle symbols, including the Rx analog circuit and
the channel circuit.
We should expand the first of these sentences to make it clear that we mean ALL
triangles,
including the Rx and channel(?), or if not, than we should make it clear that
we only mean
such and such...  Regarding the 2nd of these sentences, I think we should find
a better way of
saying it.  This wording doesn't sound too formal to me...

In the receiver section, I wonder if this clause "input to the Rx algorithmic
model" should rather
use "of" (or "at") instead of the highlighted "to"?  (The same appears a few
sentences later).
Regarding "the reserved parameter Rx_R is optional", I would add "(default is
infinite Ohms)"
to indicate what happens if it is not there, just as we did for the description
of the Tx circuit.

So much for now...

Thanks,

Arpad

In addition to changes agreed in the last ATM meeting, a sentence under the Tx
figure is now changed to:

Note: All triangle ground symbols are connected together.  These may or may not
be Node 0.

The background/history section now contains a full detailed history of BIRD
changes, thanks to Bob Ross.
