by definition the impulse response is created at an infinite impedance
boundary.  Moving the analog model inside the DLL does not eliminate the
need for an isolation boundary between analog and algorithmic processing.

Yes, s-parameter concatenation processing will require more work inside the
DLL, and presents all the issues that concatenation of s-parameters entails.
