Review of Minutes:
- Michael called for review of the minutes from the April 12 meeting.
Randy Wolff moved to approve the minutes. Bob Ross seconded.
The minutes were approved without objection.
Review of ARs:
- Michael to post the latest BIRD189.2 draft.
- Michael reported this is done.

BIRD189.2 Draft Review:
Michael noted the names in the Requestor field on page 1 were updated including
company affiliations. The "Aggressor_Only" header in Table 41 is now
capitalized. The name "Buf_I/O" is now "Buffer_I/O", and a change from
"Buf_Rail" to "Buffer_Rail" was implied and is now done. The abbreviation "IO"
has been changed to "I/O" in most places with the exception being the file names
in the examples. Michael noted the spacing in the examples is also fixed to
align the columns.
Randy noted on page 28 in the example comments the term "IO" should be changed
to "I/O". Michael made this correction.
Arpad Muranyi expressed concern that the name "I/O" might be a bit confusing
since interconnect models can be applied for model types other than I/O. He
suggested that the term "signal" might be better, as we are distinguishing
between signals and supply rails. Bob shared this concern, but mentioned that
"I/O" is part of the IBIS name in the generic sense. Michael asked how much of
BIRD189 and other BIRDs would have to be changed to implement this. Bob stated
that we would have to look at the existing IBIS Specification to see how "I/O"
is used. Randy suggested that in the Terminal_type definitions a clarification
on the meaning of "I/O" could be added. Michael added a parenthetical note to
the Terminal_type section that I/O indicates a signal rather than a supply rail
and does not imply that the Model_type is I/O.
Bob moved that we submit the latest draft of BIRD189.2 with the discussed
changes to the IBIS Open Forum. Arpad seconded. There were no objections.
Michael asked if we should suspend future meetings. Arpad asked how we want to
proceed with an update to EBD as the next topic. Bob suggested to wait until
BIRD189.2 is voted on and approved to start this work. Randy agreed and
mentioned that an update to EBD is needed for many of the stacked package
devices he is interested in modeling.
Randy moved to suspend future meetings. Bob seconded. There were no
objections.
