Greetings of the Day!
October is International School Library Month (ISLM), an annual celebration
of school libraries worldwide. The line “Once upon a time. . .” immediately
takes us all to the magical world of books, through which we get a sneak
peek into the lives of fairies, goblins, pixies and more. There are stories
that have been passed down from many generations about the past, reflecting
human values and culture. Let us connect and learn more about different
countries worldwide through the medium of stories.
The theme of ISLM 2021 is ‘Fairy Tales and Folk Tales around the World'.
The ISLM commitee is inviting all young artists to share their original art
work based on the shared theme. Participants need to share one artwork
related to Fairy Tales or Folk Tales of their country. Acceptable tools for
drawing/painting include pencil, crayon, watercolor, oil paint, etc.
Photographs, other 3D objects, print-outs won't be acceptable. The creative
piece should be original and hand made. Out of the box ideas / art work
will be included in ISLM 2021 official poster. Avoid copying pre- existing
ideas from various websites to avoid copyright issue.
