Good morning everyone
I am a member in a Library group in India called Lifrarians, they have a very
large membership and are very active. Recently, they have extended their
outreach projects to setting up libraries for rural Indian schools. please see
the link below for more info about their current project.
They are using crowd funding to purchase books and equipment. They have
partnered with Pratham Books a non-profit publisher who has been recognised by
the Library of Congress, and Milapp for their international donations. Milapp
is a non-profit that started in India to offer micro-financing for farming and
has now started crowd funding for charity projects. They were reported in
'Forbes India' as an innovator in micro-finance.
They have several great projects running at once, building and training
libraries in rural schools in India. Please go to the following webpage to
read in detail about their projects, including: full description, accounts,
photos. <https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-liferarian-association>

This a great grass-roots work in India, led by Indian librarians, very reliable
people who I have met personally and worked with. Please donate if you feel
able and spread the word if you think it deserving - Alan.
