Dear colleagues,
I am reaching out to you all in my current role at the *Australian
Library and Information Association (ALIA)*, with a somewhat urgent
request.
ALIA are providing support to libraries - particularly public libraries
- in the form of communication resources for our multicultural communities.
We are looking to provide wording / signage that communicate the
following phrases:
'For health reasons, the library building is closed until further
notice.'
'For health reasons, the library building is closed until [date].
'All programs and events have been cancelled.'
'Some programs and events have been cancelled.'
'Please see our Facebook page for more information.'
'Please see our website for more information and to use our online
services.'
We have received a specific request for translations of these phrases
into *Chinese*, *Hindi *and *Nepali*. However, it is our goal to try
to collate a list of resources in as many languages as possible.
ALIA aims to make these resources available on Monday 23 March (AEDT),
so we would dearly appreciate any contributions *ASAP*, but ideally by *CoB
(your time) on Friday 20 March*. (If you don't see this until the
weekend, then we'll still accept late contributions, as we can continue to
build these resources through the week.) Please send your translations to

I hope that this can be a valuable collaboration between ALIA and the
wider IFLA community.
