A discussion about the teaching role of school librarians at the midyear
meeting of the IFLA School Libraries Standing Committee, held April 4-7,
2017 in Stockholm, Sweden, brought this teaching award to mind:

Edmonton teacher-librarian Arlene Lipkewich received a 2014 Excellence in
Teaching Award from Alberta Education, the provincial ministry of
education. Check out the video to see what Arlene brings to her school

Do you have a story about the teaching role of a school librarian you
know? Please share it with your colleagues around the world.
