[ian-reeds-games] wow, the AI is surprisingly dumb...

I was playing tomb robber map 2. I allowed Eddy to be AI controlled as usual, and just watched him as he went through his paces. Eddy loves his mini pistol and shoots all of his bullets out early on, but then he kind of gets stuck because he can't shoot any more, so all he does is defensive stance and eat food, never moving, or attacking with the attack skill that still works. I am pretty sure this is a bug or at least a major deficiency that should be remedied. This is also a good reason for difficulty levels to be implemented because the AI could be smarter about what skills it uses depending on how hard you want your game play to be. Edit: making both attack and mini pistol ai_attack skills seems to remedy that problem, to a certain degree. Eddy still loves to use defensive stance more than he likes attacking. I guess I need to remember to set AI directives on all of my skills so I don't run into this kind of problem again. Another problem though, Eddy never moved toward the door to the spirit of King narsus's room, even though there was a clear path to it. It probably is because of the defensive stance thing, which I didn't set as ai_defend. I guess the game thought it was a buff and not an ai_defend kind of thing.
