Hi Ian, No, it is just a missing file. I suspect the work of gremlins, or very tiny blackholes in the fabric of space and time.or I simply accidently deleted it. I think I can scientifically prove it was gremlins, grin. For Vojtech: Here is the download link for the "federation starbase" file. It can be copied into the Structure folder in the starship battles basic folder. That should resolve the issue. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, I think with the new file the tactical battles game would also allow it to be downloaded again. Either way it is up to you. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68028683/federation%20starbase.txt al So, the starship battles basic eror From: ian-reeds-games-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ian-reeds-games-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ian Reed Sent: Sunday, August 18, 2013 2:11 PM To: ian-reeds-games@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ian-reeds-games] Re: bug inversion 20 Thanks Allan. I'll have a look at this soon. It is most definitely related to my recent change, but hopefully easy to fix. Also Vojtech sent me an email with the following: Hi, I just tried to start the first mission of Starship battles and it gives this error: Holo deck mission 1, Shakedown cruise Could not find any unit or terrain of type federation starbase in Data for TB\Map Packs\starship battles basic\Maps\01 - Holo deck mission 1, Shakedown cruise.txt on line 12 Battle Map Is this an error in the map pack? Other missions seems to work fine. Very nice series, I have to play it through. Vojta I say: Would you check to see if that's a map pack error or a new bug in the engine? Let me know if I need to fix something for it. Thanks, Ian Reed On 8/18/2013 10:54 AM, Allan Thompson wrote: Hi Ian, I am using version 20 of tb. I got the new kobold lair ready and I decided to play thru it. What would happen is this and I have a saved game below to help. The items that seem to use range don't seem to work. It will tell me that the unit can't see the tile, even though I know the target unit is in range. It will then report that there is a bug in the program and that it tried to use the bow/spear which are both item based weapons. The skills using range don't seem to be a problem though. To see an example of this, use the save game, and take the first three characters, being the elf ranger, dwarf berserker and human warrior and move them to them right up to the barricade heading north. Then end the turn and the errors will show up on the koblds that try to use the ranged useing items.
