And can't you put sound= in the use item skill to cause it to make a
sound? I haven't tried, but I thought it would work...

If you want a skill to fail, name the skill fail sound the name of the
skill with fail after it. Like blaze_fail. Alternatively you can have
a generic skill fail sound called skill_fail that will play instead.
Items already play a sound when used, if you specify that in the file...
