Hi All I'm very pleased to announce the rerelease of the demon war cycle, featuring massive updates to the second map - the defence of Illiria, where you will be tested to the limit to defeat a demonic invasion. It should only be played on Dev 43 and higher. To Alan and maybe others who have played the maps before (the last beta version I released was in September), the major changes are new single target skills for enemy units to prevent friendly fire, new mana restoration skill, a new and useful secondary effect on whirlpool, bug fixes and updates to various tile effect spells to work with this new whirlpool mechanic. The longer list of major changes follow. Version 1 (Nov 27 2013) Huge overhaul of almost all skills/spells to make early game content easier but much more challenging and exciting endgame content. Too many individual changes to document. Please reread the documentation for all units if you have played previous versions. The most important are: . a tutorial map for the defence of illeria has been added to get newcomers accustomed to its complexity . Map descriptions especially for the defence of iliria map contains more useful and important information . new arbalist and engineer units. The engineer is able to repair gates with other healing spells not being useable on gates anymore. The engineer is also now able to upgrade the watchtower terrain type to lightly, moderately and heavily fortified watchtowers. Arbalists (replacing knight protectors) are able to utilize various types of powerful ranged techniques as well as shooting arrows specially prepared with poisons that do hp and mana damage. . New self-destruct skill for outer gates . Added hurricane and levitate skills to aeromancers and quicksand for geomancers . The high cleric now has a power transference skill that restores the mana of targets . The highest end elemental damage spells (vulcan's wrath, tsunami and zeus's wrath) are much more powerful . Changes to melt, ice imprison and death's chill to make them drastically more useful . Whirlpool now has an extremely useful secondary tile effect in addition to doing normal damage. . quicksand, eruption, whirlpool and consecration have a range of 5 instead of 4 or 3. . Buffed summoned greater elementals and made them player-controlled . Gave elemental demons a spell for use on outer gates that does not do splash damage to prevent friendly fire. Does same damage as their area of effect spells except it works on only 1 target . Demonic giants can no longer be healed . Demon plague-bringers and their insects have been removed. Some of their skills have been moved over to other units. . All enemies pre-boss battle have on average between 20-25% less HP .
