Shameless self-promotion here, If you are disappointed with the spelling
and grammar, I would suggest you try out Demon Wars. It has been checked
painstakingly to be good.

Well I have noticed this to.
Also I am unsure if you noticed this but all the latest maps at least
the story ones have bad gramma or spelling errors through them.
I have also noticed some error when trying to save I get some out of
memmory error.
Sadly if I don't save every round or so the game crashes on sheer
unit numbers.
Sadly, in some game maps almost immediately the game will crash on
the first round because there are so many units at once.
Every building produces units at once including the enemy.
If it were a realtime game I'd expect it however I do wander if
we could have it so we had not so many units on the map all at
once or something, the large maps are good but they don't run
with the engine that nicely.
I suspect that there are just to many objects activated at one time.
I am unsure exactly what this actually means, however given the
engine was designed for smaller maps and not this involved, maybe
we either need a new engine or at least something so things don't
crash like they seem to.

stay away. I'm actually considering going back to replay Age of
Warlords again. There are so many maps I never beat and I used to be
a bit uneasy about fighting as one of the evil factions, but it was
the first map pack I really played and I have always loved it. Might
move it over to my dev version again, since updates seem to be taking
longer and I might be able to beat a map without my save file being
rendered unuseable.

Hi Sharni,
Thanks for letting me know about the victory/defeat text thing. I’ll
get it changed.
Lol, I am glad to meet you! I am also a Christian.
Stomping and rampageing in a video game is cathartic, at oleast to
me. Lol.
I do sometimes wish I could come up with a Christian map pack idea,
but nothing really comes to mind.
I have to admit, map 2 is a lot better with the extra buildongs, that
was a good call.

Yay, I finally beat that map! It was a lot of fun, but I noticed
something odd. Before I downloaded the update, I lost, but the defeat
text sounded as if the monster survived. When I beat the map just
now, the reverse was true. I'll switch the victory/defeat text flags
around in my copy of the map, as it hardly seems worth downloading a
67mb file again just for a tiny fix like that, but I thought you
should know so when you add more significant updates, you can make
that tweak as well. :)
Love your maps, Allan! (I should not be enjoying this...I am a
Christian... I should not be enjoying running around destroying
houses and eating people...)

Hey,
Added two upgrades. 1 for each giant type.
For monsters it is defense upgrade fast metabolism.
For Robots it is nanite repair protocol.
2nd gen giants pay 5 upgrade. The others have it available in the
unit’s item list. It has no slot, just activate it. It restores 5
thru 25 health per round.
The second map now has people generating buildings. I have to admit,
it makes the map a little more fun.
I added the largest giants to the training arena. Mostly this is for
anyone who just wants to play around with giants and see how things
work.
I placed the link below. Hope everyone likes the additions.

Subject: [ian-reeds-games] I downloaded the most recent version of
Rampage because Allan made it...
So like the subject line says, I downloaded the latest version of
Rampage a few days ago, mostly because I'd seen it mentioned quite a
few times and wanted to know what the big deal was. And it was an
Allan Thompson map, and his are always good.
Well, I think all the intros/victory/defeat messages are things I
only want to hear once, if ever. The one at the end of that first map
gave me the shivers and I'm still wondering if this one will end up
like the Oneshot Wonders and just sit there in my map-packs folder
never getting played because it creeps me out. Or I could just keep
trying...
A problem I'm having is with the next two maps. You get one monster.
One. and then there are these stupid jets that drop bombs on you and
remove effects doesn't always work and even when it does, that's
whole patches of map that are radiated. And if you can't remove
effects, you're basically screwed because radiation sickness takes
massive chunks out of your health and everything that can summon
aircraft takes far too long to die... and that's not even accounting
for other things attacking you. And in the "Monster from the Deep"
map there just aren't enough people to eat and get health back from.
I almost wish you could have a regeneration skill. I'm used to
Monkey's maps where chars regenerate, and even incorporated that into
my own personal map pack which I'm still not sure I'll release to the
public. As it is, I don't know how to beat the second map with just
the ordinary monster, or even the mutants, as they don't have remove
effects by default.... I can grab the jets, and have done many times,
but by the time they're there to be grabbed, they've already neuc'ed me.
Does anyone have any tips? I'd appreciate them...
